Halloween Blog Hop Continues

Drea had a great idea for a Halloween Blog Hop Visit her Events page for a list of the authors involved. Many of them have contests.

There are 110 authors participating. I am giving away an E-ARC of “Once Upon A Twisted Tale” Anthology by Rebel Ink Press which contains my story “The Galloping Ghoul of Hockomock Swamp”

Make a Comment and be sure to leave me your email so I can get in touch with you. The winner will be chosen after the 31st.

With Halloween coming I wanted to post about horror movies or something trendy. But seriously, I can’t watch horror movies. They scare the bejeasus out of me.

I still have nightmares about the Exorcist which I saw in theaters. R.M. Kinore had me watch Night of the Living Dead the other day and I really got freaked out. I HATED the ending. Without spoiling it for you if you haven’t seen it. Okay it was a like 1968 black and white movie. However, it DID NOT have a happy ending

Last night we watched Paranormal Activities. That creaped me out big time. I don’t think I slept all night long.

So what is your favorite scary movie?

Or what costume do you love to dress as for Halloween?

  1. As I’ve gotten older I’ve become a wuss at watching scary movies, my friends and I would love to watch them in high school. But nowadays, there’s no way you’d get me to watch the Parnormal Activity movies! 😉

    • I know. I do remember watching scary movies on Saturday’s. Dracula, Wolfman, Frankenstein. I can’t handle the scary stuff now. LOL

  2. Jennifer Smith

Oh man I must admit I normally LOVE horror movies but man Paranormal Activity scared the crap out of me. My mean, evil sister convinced me to watch it in the dark. So I wanted until my hubby and the kids were all sound asleep, turned out all the lights and settled in to watch the movie. Have I mentioned I absolutely HATE it when things jump out at me?? I kept hearing thing in and around the house. UGH!
When the movie was finally over I ran to bed, jumped in it from the doorway so nothing under it would get me (hubby wasn’t too happy about that) and all night I swear I heard and saw things in my room. It took me forever to finally convince myself it was safe for me to close my eyes and go to sleep LOL.
I am not normally affected by movies like that.

    • I know. It totally creaped me out like nothing has in a long long time R.M. Kinore wants me to watch the next paranormal movie. I can’t do it. Too scary

  3. My favorite horror movies have a bit of comedy mixed in. The first one I remember thinking I could watch again was House, released in 1986 with William Katt or Greatest American Hero fame.

Thanks for being part of the hop.

  4. I don’t really have a favorite scary movie. I’m like you, they give me nightmares for years. Plus I have to sleep under the bed.
I did like Ghost Busters. It wasn’t too scary and it had some humor.

    • Yes, Julianne, I could handle Ghost Busters. Are there other movies like that? The Horror genre’ is just too intense for me. Plus there really isn’t any happiness to be found in their plots. shudder. not for me.

  5. I actually like a lot of scary movies. So I don’t think I have one favorite. But because I absolutely love it I have to mention Poltergeist! It is scary, but I wach it every time it comes on TV.

  9. Eeep! I’m so not a scary movie person, Eden! I really try to avoid them so that I can sleep at night 😉 To be honest, I even had trouble sleeping after an old episode of Buffy, even knowing how over-the-top campy it was!
