Fantasy Man Monday

Fantasy Man Monday has been on the back burner for a little while.  Welcome them back with a bang, enjoy!

Wet men are the new hot.  There is even a coffee table book of hot, wet men if the blog I came across is to be believed!  If you like wet men that are sizzling hot take a look over HERE and see some other fantastic pictures.

It’s a hot Monday with a forecast for rain. *fanning wildly* Oh yes!

Fantasy Man Monday

The heart wrenching memories of 9/11/01 can not be denied. So much senseless loss. Yet like the battered 9/11 tree we continue on, scared at times, but not defeated. And new life, new beauty, new resolve to live life out loud.

Think of our Fantasy Men in Uniform.

I couldn’t resist.

Okay I would drop and give you 20 but this hunkilicious (yeah, new word, add it to your dictionary. lol) gentleman does it so much better.

Whoo Whee, I need someone to put out this fire.

What is not to love about an earthy man, in uniform…pieces of uniform… Ah, well at least a man with a big….gun.

Brings out the huntress in all of use, doesn’t it?

Joyful Monday

Fantasy Man Monday

A beautiful Laborday Monday has arrived and we are finally getting the rain we have needed. It has been a long dry hot summer. Laborday usually signifies the end of summer. Lets take a last look at those hard working men of summer that are here in fantasy to give us so much Fantasy Man Monday happiness… to sigh and know why we enjoy romance writing so much.

Wet Men

Tattooed Men

Men with a little scruff

Sexy men of all shapes, sizes and colors

Yes, a hard working cowboy even needs a little love

Good Bye summer, bring on the fall. Lounge around in bed with the someone you love and listen to the rain. Tell the world and all the demands others have for you to go away. It is a perfect way to spend Labor Day.

Fantasy Man Monday

We have neglected a very significant hot man component in our Fantasy Man Monday Blog — The Villain.

The hot baddies are in their own right the hero’s of their story.

Who can forget this handsome bad guy from Die Hard movie fame.

Often we find many redeemable qualities in these characters.

The villain can be the ultimate bad boy, a tortured soul.

These actors might not have been cast as the villain of a movie but they are hot devils. Not all villains have to be ugly and evil. Go against the stero type — make your next villain handsome as sin

Fantasy Man Monday

I’ve been subtly celebrating my contract with Rebel Ink Press. I have days when I feel like a “real” author. Then I am humbled by some dumb thing I do and realize I’m still little old me, guppy Dorie.

My current WIP for Rebel Ink’s “Once Upon A Twisted Tale” due out October, 2011 in time for Halloween is a male/male romance. That’s all I can say about it officially at the moment. Once cover blurb is approved and I finish all the revisions I’ll be able to promote more. I wanted to give you a few images that inspired my hero characters. Nathaniel Hawkins and Ike Sandhill in “The Galloping Ghoul of Hockomock Swamp”.

Cast as Ike Sandhill

Isn’t he a darling hero to rescue?

Cast as Nathaniel Hawkins

Nathaniel has that brooding maturity with a spark of joy behind his eyes. Can’t you see how much he needs Ike?

The thing I love about romance. Love is Love no matter what packaging it arrives in.

Fantasy Man Monday

I’ve been accused of being biased in Fantasy Man Monday. “Eden, all you post are man-scaped buff boys.”

I have to admit I seldom like the whiskery stubble against my skin. But in the spirit of fair play I have found some appealing men with a bit of rugged wisp to please the most discerning cougar…cougarette.

Gabriel Aubry

Who could forget McSteamy, Eric Dane?

Mystery man of someone’s dreams.

and model, Jed Hill

Okay I cheated, his chest was probably man-scaped. I couldn’t resist.

Happy Fantasy Man Monday

Summer is rolling into Autumn. I’m still feeling the heat

I want to sit back with a long drink of iced tea

Refreshing.

Cowboys and Aliens OH MY!

I know many of you have been cheated in recent weeks that I have not taken the time to publish my Fantasy Man Monday. I promise to do better.

My girlfriend and I went to see Cowboys and Aliens this past week. It was amazing. I love Harrison Ford in anything and he had a wonderful role in this movie.

And what is it about Daniel Craig? He really isn’t that leading man hottie handsome to me on first glance. I didn’t even like him as James Bond.

I LOVED him in this movie. Just the perfect mix of bad boy, tortured hero.

The heroine was the perfect crusader character type to match his bad boy.

I can’t wait to see what Smart Girls love SciFi has to say about the movie.

Have you seen this movie yet? What did you think?

Fantasy Man Monday

I walk into this Monday a little overwhelmed and somewhat befuzzled.

So many things on a personal front that have to be handled at the moment. lol.

My girlfriend lamented that there doesn’t seem to be any sexy American men. So I started looking for sexy men.

The usual names came up. Mike McConaughey. I think of his voice when I visualize one of my heroes. Ummm, that husky smooth deep voice.

Here are some names that hit that list. Matthew Macfadyen. remember Mr. Darcy?

Shemar Moore, George Clooney, Colin Farrell, Keith Urban, Matt Damon, Daniel Craig (007 star), Brad Pitt, Hugh Jackman, Barack Obama? Barack Obama? You’ve got to be kidding me. Seriously?

Robert Pattinson. Now I think most women went to the line to weigh in on the Edward Vs Jacob issue. Let’s just say that my vampires don’t sparkle. I’ve watched a few interviews by Robert Pattinson. I’ve gotta tell you that boy is as dumb as a box of rocks. It’s a good thing he has acting. There are no deep thoughts in that pond. And he claims that he has bad hygienic habits and likes it that way. Can I hear a chorus of ewwwww. And of course……

Johnny Depp.

I wasn’t surprised to see his name on the list. He is a person that I can admire for talent as a professional. Look at the span of his career? I get the feeling that he is really a smart one.

His debut I believe was back in 1987 on “21 Jump Street” I’ve seen blogs that have said they are doing a remake movie of 21 Jump Street and have written in a Cameo appearance for Johnny Depp

As an actor professional he didn’t ever seem to feel the need to play it safe. He’s done some stellar character roles.

Edward Scissorhands

Willie Wonka

The Mad Hatter in “Alice and Wonderland”

Sweeney Todd

Once Upon A Time in Mexico

And forever, Captain Jack Sparrow

Is this inspiring career a result of connections, blind luck, being in the right place at the right time? Knowing the right people?

Is he blessed? Is there some random element in the universe that shines on him and gives him this success?

Or is this the consummate professional who is a shrewd businessman marketing the one commodity he has control over…his talent. He has taken hold of each role and make it a something quite memorable.

Yea, that shrewed, savy. Now, that’s sexy.
