Moving Forward Step by Step

Dar’kind Promises will Release Feb, 2013

Paranormal Erotic Romance F/F

****

And great news to add to this, Rebel Ink Press accepted my proposal for six shorts to release next year, every other month. They are part of the Amethyst Desire series.  Story one, “Raynia’s Magic” released last Feb, 2012. The new novellettes will range in length from 5 to 10K words.  The amethyst necklace made an appearance in “Raynia’s Magic”. At the end I left it open for the reader to decide if the pendant had any magical influence in the way the events unfolded. The mystery of the gem’s properties will continue through these next shorts.

They promise to be hot erotic situations with a laugh or two as you usually find in my stories.

I’m excited about the potential for the future. Stay tuned. LOL

Happy Birthday, ah, er…Anniversary… Rebel Ink Press

Rebel Ink Press, my publisher, marks their second year of operation this week.  I am grateful to be numbered among their authors and have wishes for their continued success.

Join us for the party on Facebook. There are sales, prizes and all sorts of swag you can win.  It is an invitation only event so if you’d like to join the fun let me know and I will send you an invitation. We have to be FB budds first. LOL

On the Rebel Ink Press, Rebel Reasoning Blog writers are sharing some of their first date disasters. I couldn’t think of anything actually. I guess I am grateful for that as well.

Promotion Secrets, Undiscovered

Catchy title? I have to admit I haven’t discovered the secret of self-promotion. That’s why I say undiscovered. I tweet, I Face Book, I blog, I guest blog, I pay for advertisement, I’ve had promotional video’s made, I’ve made my own book trailers.  It is all like so much unknown, at times,  frantic activity.  Somewhat like swimming in a blender.

I’m just a real person here trying to realize the dream of bringing my characters to life in hopes that someone will actually read the stories and enjoy them as much as I do. Oh and actually buy them rather than downloading them free from the pirates. I don’t think there is anything more simple or basic than than for a writer.

Yet, we are in the era of self publishing. It is alike a wild west frontier. The question so many authors are asking themselves is ‘How do I get through the volume of work out there (in all levels of quality) to get into the readers hands. I will say I am twice blessed to have found a publishing home at Rebel Ink Press.

However, we’ve all seen those sensations go nuclear. It’s like a cinderella story on steroids the way some books take on a life of their own with apparently very little effort and sometimes as a rather poor quality product. IMHO. A cult following arises and book becomes sensation, soaring to the top of the New York Times list, movies negotiations follow.

As writers, who’ve dedicated years to the craft of writing, we often shake our heads and….while being very happy for the successful princess of the day…. still…completely gobstobbered.  We think, ‘So n So’ writes such a better crafted story etc. the gobsmacked self dialogue continues. If someone could discover what causes the meteoric phenomena and bottle it? OMG We’d I think we’d line up around the block for a taste of the magic potion in hopes of a glimmer of the success.

So, at the end of the day. I’m just a girl with a pencil who writes and hopes to find readers who are pleased with the journey I take them on, between the pages of a book.

In the meantime, take a look at these video book trailers for a different kind of creative teaser to the stories I have out there for your enjoyment.

Bikers for Boobs Ride

This past Sunday I had the fun of participating in the 7th Annual Bikers for Boobs Motorcycle ride.  When I bought a motorcycle I joined The Fat Bottom Girlz motorcycle club of GA. My purpose was to have fun and learn more about riding my motorcycle.

I have notes for several stories that involve motorcycles and the men and women who ride them. I’ve been learning a lot that will be useful in bringing those stories to life.

The ride traveled all over Eastern Georgia. The theme was a Poker Ride. After gathering, we had five different stops to collect cards and try to build a winning poker hand. Our purpose was a unity to raise money to help in the fight against Breast Cancer.

The ride gathered over 500 bikers from around Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama united in this cause. FBGz had about 50 riders participate in the event.

I had hopes of riding my own bike in this Bikers for Boobs ride. Sadly, I broke down and was unable to realize that part.

A dear girl friend rescued me and allowed me to ride Queen on her bike so I could still have part of my dream in being in the ride. She has a new red bike, Miss Scarlet. She’s heard my story and understands why this was so important to me.

You see, I had breast cancer in 2005 and thru to 2006.  A full year of treatment. Then in 2009 and 2010 I was blessed with reconstructive surgery. My thoughts on the day of the ride revolved around the journey I have traveled as a cancer survivor.

The disease robbed me of my femininity while I underwent treatment and in the years before reconstruction. My most humiliating point was going into chemo one day, sick and bald.

A guy called to me “Hey Fella”.

He was somewhat deaf and his wife is trying to whisper. Ever try to whisper to someone you know is deaf?

Her voice echoed so loud in that hospital ward,

“Herbert, I think that’s a woman.”

I wore the pink camouflage bandana I wore bald, during treatment. My mother had breast cancer, her mother had breast cancer, and her mother’s mother had breast cancer. I am a fourth generation survivor. My Phoenix Tatt is symbolic of my struggle to survive all life throws at me.

I appreciate meeting more of the FBGz and value the friendships I’m making with “The Girlz”

I am healing.

I love my FBGz friends and the joy riding my bike brings me. I’ve named my bike Ta’loola. Yeah cause she’s a whore that won’t work without me spending money on her. LOLOLOL. But soon she will be happy and running again and give me lots of good rides.

Next year, I’ll ride Ta’loola. Next year I’ll look for some sponsors so I can bring in more money for the cause.

I have two daughters and a son.

I can only hope as my daughters grow and mature through womanhood with health. I hope that a day will come when they don’t have to fear breast cancer. They won’t have to fear mutilation to survive the disease. They won’t have to fear death and losing the lives they love.

Life is good. Blessings to you all.

Eden.

Bloggers Take Note – This could happen to you.

Well, I am flabbergasted. I guess I always knew. I’ve had a lot of fun posting pictures and sparking up conversation. Based on this blog post that will be changing. I can learn from the experiences of others and this lady learned things the hard way. Cost her time and money she couldn’t afford.

If you have a blog, go on over and read what happened to Roni Loren Bloggers Beware you can get sued for using pictures on your blog.

No fooling. Take a serious read.

Progress Comes in Many Forms

Progress comes in many forms for the diligent and relentless author.

Thank you to Lynn Marcello Photography for the lovely author photo.

I have merged this blog with my own domain.  You can now find me easily at http://edenglenn.com.  It essentially brings you to the old https://edenglenn.wordpress.com in a more direct manner.  You will be seeing subtle changes to make this blog more user friendly as well as a marketable presentation of Eden Glenn and her work.

I also created an Amazon author’s page that can be found here: Eden Glenn at Amazon. I can produce a Kindlegraph to autograph your Amazon purchased ebook. However, don’t forget you can also find me at Barnes and Noble, Bookstrand and All Romance Books.

I made a book trailer for The Galloping Ghoul of Hockomock Swamp which can be viewed here:  The Galloping Ghoul of Hockomock Swamp by Eden Glenn

So, leave your safe world behind and join me in reading!

Fantasy Man Monday

Wake up call for Monday morning with these smokin hot gentlemen.

There is something to be said for the eyes. “Eyes are the windows of the soul”. So much expression lights through your lover’s eyes.

Facial hair is another complete turn on or turn off depending on the woman. Facial hair can be scratchy against a woman’s softer skin.

A man’s solid muscular shape is sensual to see and touch.

And then there is his smile. A man can’t possibly be sexy without a good sense of humor.

On a Search for Sexy

Going on a bear hunt. *hands drumming desk*

The illusive hunt for a sexy woman.  What is sexy to you?

Jessica Rabbit give us the curvy woman with dreamy eyes and full lips. A Character right?

Perhaps? perhaps not!

Kiera Knightly typifies the ingenue of this generation.

I love the laughter and sense of humor I see in Ann Hathaway

The dangerous woman has an allure. Charlize Theron gave the Aeon Flux character that mystery and danger.

And do you recognize her?  Ziva David of NCIS. The actress’ name doesn’t come up much. Cote de Pablo! yes that’s her.  I love the quote on the show from one episode. I can’t remember who asked. “Does Ziva have a weapon?” in some undercover role. Gibbs retorted, “Ziva IS a weapon.”  Got to love it.

Summer Heat Flash Fiction Hop

Rebel Ink Press is hosting a Flash Fiction Blog Hop. Take a look and have a great introduction to new authors through their flash quick reads. Prizes as well! The party is tied together through the Rebel Ink Facebook page. So check it out there too.

The rules are write 250 words to this photo prompt.

So here is my entry! Please comment and tell me what you think. I tried to pick something that the others wouldn’t think of. LOL

FLASH 250:

The trouble about being lesbian is two-fold. First, you don’t know if a woman is available and second, most importantly, you don’t know if a woman wants to play in another girl’s kitchen. I scanned the crowd at the afternoon cocktail party. We were celebrating Jason Miles, a gifted photographer, and his art show, “A search for modern eroticism.”

The sea of people faded to monochrome, leaving the woman in a red dress and stillettos center stage. Her ebony hair danced across her heart shaped ass in waves as she moved across the room. A woman so naturally beautiful, the magic mirror would be telling Snow White she’d have to stand down to the new princess in the land, more fair than she.

My lady turned slightly to look over her shoulder. She had lush breasts in perfect matrimony with her curvy ass. Her bow shaped mouth parted so her tongue could tickle her bottom lip with a lick. A move so sexy my lips got jealous wanting their turn.

I lifted my chin in the unspoken “me?” of confident disbelief. She gave me a slow measured wink which clearly said “I’m wearing fuck-me red heels, what more do you need?”

I raced for that private library. Jason might have answered his search for modern eroticism on film. Mine was that doe eyed beauty with her lush little ass perched on the edge of an antique walnut desk, letting black satin and lace peek at me from between her thighs.

LOL.  Hope you enjoyed my little Flash Tease.

Just Plain Old Wierd

Que the old Twillite Zone Music here.

I was asked to participate in a Jumanji walk at my night job work.  That’s where a collection of managers come by and ask you questions about barriers to your productivity.  It might not really be called a Jumanji walk but it’s something odd like that.

Any who! I said sure. I’ll talk about barriers.  I went up to the group and introduced myself. Hey I’m (insert real name here— not pen name of Eden Glenn).

The head manager guy cocked his head and said Oh, you’re name is (insert real name again), I thought it was Eden.

Is that wierd or what? In the cosmos do I look like Eden? Have I become Eden? Or am I soooo busted!!!! LOLOLOL
